Joe Biden And Kamala Harris Vow To Prosecute Gun Manufacturers For Third Party Crimes

We try to stay away from politics, but sometimes we need to report the news.  This election has so much on the line for our American Rights, especially focused around the Second Amendment, that I'll inject a bit on the direction of the Democractic party…

 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are a perfect match for anyone seeking to take away the rights of Americans, as they were intended. The presumptive Democratic party presidential candidate and his vice president promised to allow the prosecution of gunmakers for third party crimes committed using their products. Biden and Harris plan on repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), which shields firearm manufacturers from frivolous lawsuits arising from misuse of their products. Biden promises that repealing the PLCAA would be the silver bullet in tackling gun violence.

The 76-year-old has tried (and failed) to repeal the act throughout his political career spanning over four decades. According to his website, Biden claims that “this law protects these manufacturers from being held civilly liable for their products – a protection granted to no other industry,” which is a lie. He has repeated the lie throughout his life until he started believing in it.

No other industry could be sued for crimes committed by third parties after misusing their products. For example, automakers do not face civil lawsuits when their cars are involved in accidents, deliberate or not. Alcohol producers are not responsible when car owners drive under the influence. The only justifiable reason to prosecute firearm manufacturers is when they produce defective products causing unintended injuries. They could also be prosecuted when they violate laws regarding the supply of firearms to prohibited persons.

Biden’s vice president pick also promised to repeal PLCAA terming the protection as “NRA’s corporate gun manufacturer immunity shield.” The law is among the slew of anti-gun legislation that Harris pledged to force the Senate into passing within her 100 days in office, failure to which she would use the executive orders to implement the same.

However, the two have no interest in ending gun violence. They intend to undermine the Second Amendment using the act as a pretext. The self-proclaimed gun owners do not and have never supported the Second Amendment. Harris has a history of opposing the constitutional rights of Americans. She filed an amicus brief in opposition to the protection of the Second Amendment rights during the District of Columbia v. Heller landmark case.

The two anti-gunners hope that by repealing the PLCAA, they could put gun manufacturers out of business. Remington is an example of a gunmaker bankrupted by unwarranted lawsuits. The company has already declared bankruptcy after the court allowed a frivolous lawsuit related to Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, where an assailant used Remington’s Bushmaster XM15-E2S firearm to shoot 20 people.

A perfect frame of reference is the current shortage of ammo experienced around the country. When gun manufacturers are forced out of business, citizens will still have their Second Amendment. However, exercising them remains impossible due to a lack of the necessary tools. Coincidentally, Harris promised to stop the importation of AR-15-style firearms. The Democratic candidates intend to disrupt the firearm supply chain such that Americans will have no means to acquire guns.

Bankrupting American firearm manufacturers will also have untold consequences on the American economy. The firearm industry employs over 150,000 Americans. These workers will lose their jobs if the Leftists are allowed to take over. A win for Joe Biden is a loss for the Second Amend!

addendum... I'm not sure where the left is going, but how can voters see that the defunding of police and the inability for civilians to protect themselves by removing guns from the public will make a better place?  As far back as time goes, there has been inherent evil...  just look at the wild west in the 1800's they needed sheriffs, marshalls and lawmen to keep the peace.  There are evil people, and for this reason there is crime and killing...  primarily we need law enforcement to deter crimes and protect us when evil happens, but no cop can be everywhere all the time, and that is why we need the ability to bear arms... to protect ourselves when no one else  is there.
