Defensive Tactical Training (DTTHQ) is proud to partner in the betterment of skills with those who take owning or carrying a firearm seriously.
There is no substitute for professional training, and DTT Training Courses cover a variety of topics from the basics of firearm safety and handling, through defensive shooting tactics up to advanced tactical weapons training. We match our instructors to our classes. We specifically do NOT use career veterans to train basic handgun course, we reserve their specialized talent to our advanced courses. Our beginner courses are all taught by NRA and USCCA Certified instructors who are dedicated to training modern defensive firearm skills to our students.
DTTHQ instills in our students the tactical mindset and knowledge base necessary to survive and prevail in real-world armed encounters. Our operational imperatives are ensuring the safety of our students and staff, promoting a positive learning environment and providing a high quality of instruction. We attain these standards by mandating low student-instructor ratios, selecting the experienced instructors who can share their knowledge easily through teaching proven methods.

Defensive Tactical Training Team Leader
Michael DiSabatino | Founder
Michael DiSabatino is a National Rifle Association (NRA) Certified Pistol Instructor and a United Stated Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) Certified Pistol Instructor. Mike has been shooting for over 40 years and had his Concealed Firearm Carry Permit when he was just 20 years old in his home state in New Jersey.
Today, Mike is trained in many aspects of handguns and emergency medical, which he teaches to those with a desire to start or expand upon the process of understanding handguns, the proper use and safety of and ownership of... all with an approach that the students enjoy.
In his spare time, Mike builds and modifies custom Hot-Rods and Motorcycles for competition use, and has served his community as a Certified Public Accountant for the past 40 years.
NRA Certified Pistol Instructor
As a NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, Mike DiSabatino has the ability to teach NRA courses across the US. He trains others how to safely use guns in a variety of courses.
USCCA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR
As a USCCA Certified Instructor, Mike DiSabatino is knowledgeable and skilled in many areas. He knowledgeable enough to train others how to safely use guns, administer basic emergency medcial aid and communicates effortlessly with his students.
NRA Range Safety Officer
As a NRA Range Safety Officer, Mike DiSabatino is someone who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
